The Mayor’s Pedestrian Advisory Council (MPAC) began work on developing a vision statement for the Pedestrian Plan at their November 10, 2010 meeting. Dr. Kyran Quinlan, MD, MPH, University of Chicago Children’s Hospital and co-chair of MPAC, led the visioning process. MPAC members voted on the words that they felt should be included in the vision statement and a brainstorming session followed that helped refine the words, and themes of the eventual vision statement.
